O re Piya - Aaja Naachle

This is a song that I still listen to in awe as Rahatji mellifluously nails it... One of my favorite singers.
Great composition that gives the singer a lot of opportunities to exhibit his talent without being masked by the back ground music.

Here is my take on it. Let me know what you feel.

    You're bang on on the tone, and you managed that hindustani touch that's necessary for this song.

  14. Awesome rendition Karthik. I just loved the ending of the 1st charanam. I felt that you were a little strained on the higer notes of the swarams part though. overall excellent job and i just loved it.

  19. Loved this song.. one feedback, the portion where you sing the swarams sound more like Carnatic and less Hindustani as Rahat renders it. Am only saying this because I heard him live two weeks back and he presented this song there!

    Any chance you can take some light Hindustani training like Sudha did? But your voice is amazing and your diction is good too!

    Thanks - am glad you like it. I dont think learning Hindustani will help in the regard because what Rahatji has sung here is not Hinudstani. Besides at that scale it clearly becomes a matter of sticking to note than style.
